Rs. 151 crore provision for Simhastha in state budget

Ujjain: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that there will be no fund crunch for development works in Ujjain. A provision of Rs. 151 crore has been made in the state’s budget for Simhastha works. He said that glory of Samrat Vikramaditya and Ashok will be restored. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing foundation laying ceremony of residential projects of Ujjain Development Authority at Ujjain today.
Shri Chouhan said that we do not only dream, but also make all out efforts for fulfilling these dreams. Narmada-Kshipra Link Project is one of the living examples. This ambitious scheme of the State Government will be completed within prescribed time-limit. The Chief Minister said that land will be provided on Rs. one lease rent to the Ujjain Development Authority for implementing new schemes for the poor. He said that apart from government land, schemes are being chalked out to get houses constructed on private lands under PPP mode. Efforts are also afoot to regularise all illegal colonies in Madhya Pradesh. No slum dweller will be removed. On the contrary they will be provided pattas of land. Slum dwellers will not be relocated till houses for them are constructed.
The Chief Minister also announced minister of state status for Ujjain Development Authority Chairman Shri Kishore Khandelwal.
Shri Chouhan said that the ideals set by Bohra community guru Syedna Sahib are true proofs of socialism. I salute him for this. He said that if any member of Bohra community is poor, entire community rushes to help him.
The Chief Minister laid foundation stone for Basan Vihar, Triveni Vihar and LP Bhargava projects. Food Minister Srhi Paras Jain, ex-Union Minister Dr. Satyanarayan Jatia, MLA Shri Shivnarayan Jagirdar, Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Dr. Mohan Yadav, Haj Committee Chairman Dr. Sanwar Patel, Mayor Shri Rameshwar Akhand and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
