Special courts in MP after Bihar

BHOPAL: Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan is all set to introduce a Special Court Bill aimed to control corruption in the upcoming budget session of the state assembly. If passed, these fast trial courts will have the power to order confiscation of ill-gotten wealth of corrupt officials.

Madhya Pradesh will be the second state to introduce such a bill. The state cabinet chaired by the CM on Tuesday approved the draft of the Madhya Pradesh Special Court Bill 2011.

Also the Nitish Kumar government in March 2009 Bihar had formulated and passed the first Bihar Special Court Bill as a step towards removing corruption through speedy trials in special courts.
