PM Modi’s arrival in Gorakhpur: SPG visited PM’s venue, sought information about people staying in hotels

The SPG (Special Protection Group) reached Gorakhpur on Monday regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s possible visit to Gorakhpur on July 7. SPG along with SP City Krishna Kumar Bishnoi has reviewed the security of possible programs at Gorakhnath Temple, Geeta Press and Railway Station.

During this, the SP has asked for a list of people staying in all the hotels. It is reported that demand for force has also been sent from other districts regarding the Prime Minister’s programme. However, it has not been decided yet how much force will be imposed.

According to the information, on Monday, Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Kumar, DGP Vijay Kumar along with officers inspected Geeta Press and Railway Station. During this, the officers have reviewed the security arrangements at all the places. The officers have also held a meeting with the officers of Gorakhpur division regarding the arrival. Everyone has been instructed that there should be no lapse in security. Police officers have prepared a blueprint regarding security. In view of the possible schedule, along with preparation of force strength, duty chart, holidays of policemen have also been cancelled.

On the orders of SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover, the police have contacted all the important hotels including the railway station and other stoppages. The intelligence department is also gathering information about those staying at all the places. SP City Krishna Kumar Bishnoi told that SPG has arrived. Keeping in view the program of the possible Prime Minister, preparations are being made. The police and intelligence department is fully alert.
