UP Committee of Communist party condemned government

ALLAHABAD: In recent firing and killing two farmers of village Bhatta Parsaul in Greater Noida area of Gautam Buddha Nagar district and injuring several others, the UP Committee of Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) New Democracy has condemned the state government for all this happened.

On Sunday secretary, Dr Ashish Mittal issued a statement saying that the police force fired on unarmed farmers in order to forcefully displace them and hand over their land to a private company for construction of highly profitable Yamuna Expressway cum township development program instead of safeguarding the interests of the farmers.

The police force had lathicharged the farmers several times and on February 23 they fired and injured 4 farmers. Still the protest was continuing peacefully till the state government sent three road transport personnel to survey the road route. This was obviously a decoy intended to test the troubled waters as road survey are done by revenue officials and not UPSRTC.

Mittal said that the farmers had been sitting on a peaceful dharna since January this year and demanding that the government should talk to them through political leaders because the state bureaucracy was only acting as an agent of companies.

He slammed the BSP government, which is at war with the farmers in order to safeguard the interest of corporate houses and corrupt government machinery just like the Central government led by Manmohan Singh is doing.

They killed 2 farmers and injured several others residents of the village. Besides many have been arrested and booked under false charges.
