Uma Bharti launched Ganga cleaning project

LUCKNOW: BJP leader and the party in-charge in Uttar Pradesh Uma Bharti launched her ambitious Ganga cleaning project here, apparently taking in view the upcoming state polls next year.
Uma said that she will go door-to-door to connect people through her campaign. She is Starting her campaign from Garhmukteshwar, 80km from here at a public rally last evening,.

Criticising the Centre for its alleged “lacklustre” attitude towards the issue of Ganga pollution, Uma said that
she will like to know from the Prime Minister as to how much has been spent on the National Ganga River Basin Authority so far.

Uma Bharti said that she will also sit on a fast for saving the river if she does not get an “amicable” reply from the prime minister.
500 people attended the campaign apart from several state-level leaders of the party.
