Disseminate message of ending discrimination between son and daughter : CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has exhorted Vaishnav-Bairagi community to disseminate message of ending discrimination between son and daughter in the community. He said that world cannot survive without daughters. Deities dwell in the houses where mothers, sisters and daughters are respected. Shri Chouhan was addressing a match-making convention of Bairagi community at the conference hall of Tulsi Manas Pratishthan here today. He said that the State Government is standing by the side of Bairagi community.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that people consider sons as supporters in their old age. Now, the State Government will become support in their old age for families with only daughters. A scheme has been chalked out to give pension to couples with only daughters after 60 years of age. Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojna is already being implemented in the state for daughters’ marriage. Teerth-Darshan Yojna has been launched to arrange pilgrimage of senior citizens.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Chief Minister is a public servant in democracy. The State Government is functioning with the same principle. Through various anecdotes, Shri Chouhan informed that there are three ways – knowledge, worship and pious deeds – to attain God. A person can also attain God by carrying out his duties with honesty.
Shri Babulal Mevra delivered the welcome address. Community’s National President Shri U.K. Swami, State President Shri P.N. Bairagi, Rashtriya Hindi Mail’s editor Shri Vijay Kumar Das, Shri Manohar Bairagi, Shri Prahlad Bairagi and large number of community members were present on the occasion. The programme was conducted by Shri Suresh.
