She cried once after being snubbed by BJPA MLA, IPS officer Charu Nigam now in Yogi Adityanath’s security cover

Gorakhpur: Charu Nigam, a young women IPS officer deputed as Additional Superintendent of Police at Gorakhpur was seen on Saturday playing an active role inside the Gorakhnath temple where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held his ‘junta durbar’.
Nigam who was snubbed and misbehaved by local BJP MLA from Gorakhpur, Radha Mohan Das earlier this week was left teary eyed after the altercation with the legislator. The MLA came down heavily on the IPS officer after she allegedly manhandled a group of women in the city who were protesting reopening of liquor shops. The MLA has led the protest against liquor shops in the area.
The video of the IPS officer, in tears after altercation with Nigam, had gone viral forcing the Chief Minister to summon the MLA to Lucknow.
Speaking to media, Nigam said that Yogi Adityanath knew her very well.
“As circle officer of Gorakhnath, I keep meeting the Chief Minister and he also knows me very well,” said Charu Nigam, the young IPS officer.
She also maintained that providing security to the Chief Minister was a challenging task as she is responsible for controlling large number of people who come to temple to meet Yogi Adityanath.
