Give best contribution to state’s development : CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has urged people to imbibe the spirit of sense of belonging to Madhya Pradesh and give their best contribution to the state’s development. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was inaugurating the 17th IEC Inter-Press Cricket Tournament at Old Campion Ground here today.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that every person should take interest in sports. Sports keep mind and body healthy and free from tension. Extending Makar Sankranti greetings, he said that Madhya Pradesh is progressing fast. All people of Madhya Pradesh should cooperate in this mission. Journalists should also motivate people for this. Nari Samman March will be organised in the state on January 18. All should join hands to ensure success of this drive for safeguarding women’s modesty.
In his address, Higher Education & Public Relations Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma said that sports hold an important place in life. Sportsman’s spirit enriches life.
At the programme, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan felicitated famous snooker player Shri Kamal Chawla and International Boxing Championship medalist Sushri Asha Roka. IEC Group’s Shri B.S. Yadav was also felicitated at the programme. The welcome address was delivered by Shri Mrigendra Singh. MLA and Bhopal Division Cricket Association President Shri Dhruv Narayan Singh, Director Sports Dr. Shailendra Singh, Commissioner Public Relations Shri Rakesh Shrivastava, Shri Brajesh Lunawat, Shri S.S. Singhdeo and Shri O.P. Bansal were also present on the occasion. In all, 42 teams are participating in the tournament. Shri Sushil Agrawal proposed a vote of thanks.
