20 % above normal rainfall in 4 districts

Bhopal: Normal rainfall in 21 districts and below normal rainfall in 24 districts of the state has been registered since June 1 to July 25. Above normal rainfall has been registered in 4 districts and scanty rainfall has been registered in 2 districts. Water level in all reservoirs and rivers in the sate is normal.

Four districts including Betul, Burhanpur, Harda and Khandwa have registered 20 percent above normal rains followed by 21 districts with +19 to – 19 percent rainfall including Khargone, Rajgarh, Tikamgarh, Bhopal, Barwani, Raisen, Narsinghpur, Mandla, Jabalpur, Hoshangabad, Chhindwara, Rewa, Sehore, Seoni, Balaghat, Katni, Indore, Datia, Ujjain, Sidhi and Sagar. The 24 districts with -20 to -59 percent rainfall include Anuppur, Shivpuri, Vidisha, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Dhar, Ashok Nagar, Alirajpur, Damoh, Dewas, Satna, Chhatarpur, Guna, Dindori, Gwalior, Jhabua, Ratlam, Singrauli, Sheopur, Neemuch, Panna, Umaria, Mandsaur and Shahdol.. Two districts have received -60 percent rainfall including Bhind and Morena.

In Balaghat district, one person has died and 2 cattle heads perished. As many as 172 houses have been damaged completely and 381 partially. Affected people have been shifted to safer places. All disrupted road have re-opened in the district.

So far, 16 people have died and 17 injured while 6 cattle heads have perished. As many as 287 houses have been damaged completely and 381 houses partially by excessive rains in the state.
