Shoaib Accepts Nikah with Ayesha, Ready to Divorce Her: Reports

In what could be seen as an end to the controversy, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik has eventually accepted his nikah with Hyderabad girl Ayesha Siddiqui and is prepared to divorce her as she has been demanding, said media reports quoting unnamed sources close to Siddiqui family.

Counsel for Siddiqui family also confirmed that Shoaib consented to ink divorce papers, reports said.

Earlier in the morning, a family friend of Maliks Ameen Shaikh told a TV channel in a shocking admission that the pictures Shoaib had seen was indeed that of Ayesha Siddiqui, who has been claiming to be married to Shoaib for long, said reports.

The disclosure came in the backdrop of a united front Shoaib and her would-be-wife and tennis star Sania Mirza put up, claiming that Ayesha’s claims of marriage with Shoaib in 2002 was false.

However, Ameen Shaikh has admitted that the photo that was shown to him was that of Ayeshai, but just a thinner version of her.
