Pressed the button of watermelon, the slip came out of apple: Demo of EVM malfunction in Bhopal, Digvijay said – Software decides whose government

Former CM Digvijay Singh has once again raised questions on EVM, VVPAT and Election Commission. On Wednesday in Bhopal, he said, ‘My allegation is that the Election Commission is not impartial, it is under pressure. We expect impartiality from the commission. All the work of EVM is in the hands of private people. When software does everything, then it will decide whose government will be formed.

Digvijay Singh gave a demo of EVM malfunction through IITian Atul Patel. During this, 10 votes were cast in one EVM. He told that the glass of VVPAT was replaced in 2017. After casting the vote, the light in the VVPAT comes on for 7 seconds. The voter leaves after seeing the slip.

IITian Atul Patel cast two votes for a watermelon symbol to show that the machine was malfunctioning. On the first vote, watermelon slip was seen in VVPAT. When the watermelon button was pressed the second time, the apple slip was printed. Atul said, he has been closely monitoring the election process since 2013. We are fighting the battle of voting through ballot paper.

At his residence in Shyamala Hills in Bhopal, Digvijay said, in a country with a population of 140 crore, where there are 90 crore voters, should we give the right to decide all this in the hands of such people. Neither the voters nor the officers and employees are the owners of the entire election process. Its owner is the one who creates and uploads the software. He said, the Election Commission is not giving answers to the questions. We are told that VVPAT is visible for 7 seconds, but what is the guarantee that what is seen is printed?

Expectation of impartiality from the Election Commission: I have seen the era of TN Session Saheb during the Chief Minister’s tenure. If we say something, ECI (Election Commission of India) gives notice. If Narendra Modi says Jai Bajrang Bali in Karnataka and presses the lotus button, no action would be taken against him. Many times you people and even my party do not trust what I say.

There will be no democracy after 2024: We do not trust the VVPAT of EVMs and the impartiality of the Election Commission. Only the Supreme Court is trusted. There will be no democracy after 2024. Elections should be conducted through ballot paper. If the Election Commission loves EVMs so much then it should hand over VVPAT slips to the voters.

Why VVPAT is not put in public domain: Why is VVPAT not put in public domain on the lines of Australia. Today there are 5 countries in the world where voting is done through EVMs. The software here is in the public domain. This has not happened here since 2003. They say it will take time. If you cannot even give 24-48 hours to decide the government for 5 years and make us guard the EVMs for a week, then why should there not be honest voting and counting.

Software can be misused: Election Commission says that software cannot be kept in public domain because it can be misused. It is even more dangerous that the Election Commission believes that it can be misused.

Disturbance on 230 seats in MP: Our government is formed in Karnataka. BJP will not tamper with EVMs in a place where they know that their party is not there. There were irregularities on 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh. Not on 120-130 seats. There was a swing of 10%, so we lost some seats by 60-70 thousand one lakh.

Amit Shah wandered from door to door and played games: He played games on selected seats in the 2018 assembly elections. Two ministers each from the Center were deployed here. When BJP won 60-70 seats under the leadership of Shivraj Singh, Amit Shah wandered from door to door and then this whole game was played.

The government will decide whose software: There is no information regarding EVM authenticity. There is no information about who is installing the software. The creator of the software, the one who installs it and the software itself will decide whose government will be formed. After casting the vote, the light in the VVPAT comes on for 7 seconds. The voter leaves only after seeing the slip.

What is the problem in putting VVPAT slip in the box?

Digvijay said, 24 parties of India Alliance asked for time from the Election Commission, but they are not giving us time. The commission is under pressure from BJP. Voting is my right. My vote should go where I want. Whatever is printed will count. When 10 votes were cast then how did it become more? We have brought this before you only because whatever is seen gets printed. Let us get the VVPAT slip and put that slip in the ballot box. What is the problem in this?

Giving information about the voting system of Belgium, Digvijay said, VVPAT slip is given in the hands of the voter. This design is easy for hacking. Many people come to us saying that give this much money and we will work for them. This is all bogus. EVM cannot be hacked from outside. This process can be changed only by programming the software.

Fascist system will not be allowed to run

Digvijay said, Narendra Modi has the confidence of Amit Shah, in 2014 he said he would get 272 seats, instead he got 284. In 2019 it was said that it will cross 300, seats got 303 and now they are saying it will cross 400. We will not let this fascist system continue Will give. Modi asked for votes in the name of Pulwama, uncle asked for votes in the name of Ladli Behna. Now Ramlala is saying that we will come. They are setting the narrative.
