Navjot Sidhu Stuns Kejriwal And Amarinder In Single Shot, Floats New Front In Punjab

New Delhi: Former Rajya Sabha member and disgruntled BJP leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has decided to form a new political front Awaaz-e-Punjab after his talks with the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) apparently failed to take off.
The new political front in Punjab is likely to be launched on September 9. The front will be formed by Navjot Singh Sidhu, Pargat Singh and Bains brothers. Sidhu’s wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu said, “Along with Pargat Singh and Bains brothers we have formed a front. This will be against those working against Punjab.”

Awaaz-e-Punjab poster says the front to “raise voice against those who have destroyed Punjab”
According to sources, Sidhu has asked the AAP for a position no less than the Punjab chief minister but the party is not willing to concede his demand.

Earlier, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that Sidhu has not put any pre-conditions on joining the AAP and needs time to think over the issue.
“Would Navjot Sidhu ji join AAP — lot of rumours? Its my duty to put forward our side. We have greatest greatest regard for this cricket legend. He met me last week. Didn’t put any pre-condition. He needs time to think. Lets respect that,” said Kejriwal in a tweet.

“He is a very good human being and a cricket legend. My respect for him wuould continue whether he joins or not,” he said in yet another tweet.
Sidhu broke his silence and targeted the BJP for asking him to stay away from Punjab to serve “personal interests” but continued to keep everyone guessing on his next move, including whether he will join AAP.
