Lord Mahavir and Buddha’s messages ever relevant

Bhopal: Governor Shri Ram Naresh Yadav participated in Panch Kalyanak Jin Bimb Pratishtha Evam Shanti Mahayagya and sought blessings of Pujya Munishri Chinmay Sagar “Jangle Wale Baba” here today. Governor Shri Yadav said that principles of truthfulness, non-violence and selflessness propounded by Lord Mahavir and Buddha are ever relevant and motivate people to follow path of peace and truth. He said that Mahatma Gandhi ensured India’s independence with principles of truth and non-violence.
The Governor released book “Samaj aur sampradayikta” written by Munishri Chinmaya Sagar Ji, who presented a set of books to the Governor. Madhya Pradesh Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Shri Babulal Jain, former MLA Shri P.C. Sharma, Justice Shri A.K. Jain, local Corporator and a large number of community members were present on the occasion.
Governor Shri Yadav said that Panch Kalayank Mahotsav shows the path of commonweal. Its main objective is promoting friendliness and respect to all religions. He said that our youths are becoming victims of vicious circle of western culture and materialism and they can come out of this situation only following the guidance of saints and seers.
Pujya Munishri Chinmay Sagar “Jangle Wale Baba” said that biggest concern fo the present times is to save our country’s culture and lifestyle from ill-effects of western culture. He said that we should take pride to have been born in India. Munishri exhorted youths to understand and adopt culture and lifestyle of our country. He said that precedent of “unity in diversity” of our country has to be continued. He said that all persons be them ministers, political leaders or common people should take pledge to keep away form consumption of meat and liquor. This will solve major social problems.
In the welcome address, Shri Ashok Jain Bhabha informed that the community is running a number of welfare programmes and campaigns in education and social sectors. Dr. P.K. Jain proposed a vote of thanks. At the function, Governor Shri Yadav was felicitated and presented a citation.
