IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi has asked the BCCI President Shashank Manohar to delay the meeting of the IPL Governing Council scheduled to be held on April 26, said media reports citing unnamed sources.

Modi contended that the meeting, called by BCCI secretary N Srinivasan, was invalid, for the secretary didn’t have the right to convene the meeting, reports said.

Quoting unnamed sources report said that Modi was not ready with his explanation on the matter and wanted meeting to be held on May 1.

Reports quoted sources as saying that the meeting would be held without Modi.
