MNS Writes to SBI Asking for Priority to Locals in Jobs

In continuance of its agitation for the cause of sons of soil, Raj Thackeray’s MNS has written to State Bank of India (SBI) for considering locals for the new positions.

MNS general secretary Shirish Parkar said that the party wrote a letter to SBI administration demanding that locals are considered on priority for 1100 clerical posts announced by them.

SBI is holding an entrance exams in Mumbai on Sunday and the administration has assured the MNS to speak to the authorities in Delhi regarding their demand.

“About 1.5 lakh applications were received by SBI and 70 per cent are outsiders. The posts are local and Marathi people should get priority for that,” Parkar said.

It should be noted that MNS mooted the topic last year with railway board, too, which took violent turn as the party activist attacked 17 railway board examination centres in suburb Mumbai and drove away candidates from north India.
