Betul to be made ideal district of Madhya Pradesh: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that efforts will be made to make Betul as an ideal district. District action plan will be chalked out after considering basic requirements, industries, business, employment and agriculture potential of Betul. Special attention will be paid to district’s basic requirements and beauty. There will be no lack of funds for development. Shri Chouhan was addressing an Aao Banayen Apna Madhya Pradesh convention a Betul today.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones of 10 Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana roads costing Rs. 21 crore 2 lakh, building of Shahpur model school costing Rs. 2 crore 97 lakh and girls hostel building costing Rs. one crore 37 lakh. He also distributed amounts/material to beneficiaries of various schemes.

Shri Chouhan said that efforts will be made to promote agriculture development and milk production. He said that marginal farmers will be able to utilise MNREGA funds to improve their fields. Illegal colonies will be regularised as per rules. As many as 15 lakh houses will be constructed for the poor in next 5 years. The Chief Minister said that the state government has chalked out a scheme to provide free cancer treatment medicines in district hospitals. Now, Rs. 25 thousand per couple assistance will be provided under Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana. Employees are expected that people face no inconvenience. The Chief Minister also administered pledge for de-addiction, keeping villages clean and extend cooperation in Beti Bachao Abhiyan.

Complain at 181: The Chief Minister said that Mukhyamantri Helpline has been started to solve common people’s problems in the state. Any person can inform about his problem at phone number 181 which will be promptly solved. The Chief Minister also interacted with people and also visited exhibition and its various stalls.

PWD Minister and in-charge of the district Shri Sartaj Singh said that top priority of the state government is to make Madhya Pradesh corruption-free and ensure quality works.

CM on inspection: After the programme, the Chief Minister went around the city. He inspected Astroturf at School for Excellence’s sports ground and met players. The Chief Minister inspected Rein Basera. On the action plan presented by MLA Shri Hemant Khandelwal, the Chief Minister assured construction of a Rs. 40 lakh all-equipped Rein Basera. He also assured construction of a market for footpath vendors. The Chief Minister also visited Disabled Girls Hostel at Sadar. He interacted with the girls and inspected their lodging and food arrangements. All the way through his visit, the Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to people.

MP Smt. Jyoti Dhurve, Zila Panchayat Chairperson Smt. Lata Raju Haski, districts’ MLAs Shri Hemant Khandelwal, Shri Sajjan Singh Uikey, Shri Mahendra Singh Chouhan, Shri Chandrashekhar Deshmukh and Shri Chetram Manekar were also present at the programme.
