Govt. and community should jointly accelerate pace of development

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that government and community can jointly accelerate pace of development and bring about a social change. He said that now only there is one dream and that is comprehensive development and prosperity of Madhya Pradesh. He said that no power can stop Madhya Pradesh from moving ahead. There is one single vision that there is adequate food security in Madhya Pradesh and there is no let-up in education, health and employment sectors. Shri Chouhan was addressing a coordination meeting of Madhya Pradesh Jan-Abhiyan Parishad here today.

Shri Chouhan said that the works undertaken by Jan-Abhiyan Parishad at field-level have starting showing results. He said that the Parishad should move one step further and assume responsibility for ensuring effective implementation of development schemes and increase public awareness. Every member of Jan-Abhiyan Parishad should have a distinct identity in society. Prasfutan Samitis need to work more effectively.
The Chief Minister said that expansion of small industries has become vital in the state so that youths get adequate employment opportunities. For this, youths’ mindset has to be changed. They should be motivated to set up their own industries instead of searching for jobs. For this, the government will extend every possible assistance including training and counselling. Women should be empowered by forming their self-help groups. At present, special attention is being paid to automobiles, textiles, drug manufacturing, food processing and information technology sectors.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that education system had gone entirely haywire in the state in the period before one decade. It has been brought back on rails again. Transport Minister Shri Jagdish Deora, Parishad’s Vice-President Shri Ajay Shankar Mehta and development block coordinators were present on the occasion.
