Hinting at a thaw in BJP-JDU ties, Bihar deputy chief minister and BJP leader Sushil Modi has today accompanied chief minister and JDU leader Nitish Kumar in the final leg of his Vishwas Yatra to Gaya district, said media reports.

Kumar and Modi, who came at Patna state hangar in separate vehicles, boarded the same helicopter for Aurangabad, reports said.

Yesterday, the BJP had deferred its decision on participating in the ‘Vishwas Yatra’.

Before boarding the chopper, the two leaders were seen exchanging the pleasantries and declined to take questions on the soured relation between the two parties recently, said reports.

Earlier, Modi had refused to join Kumar for the Yatra at Paliganj in Patna district in protest against latter’s decision to return the flood relief money given by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP President Nitin Gadkari held a meeting with Bihar party unit Chief C P Thakur and Modi yesterday to discuss the alliance with JD(U).
