Girhotra, Prakash Meet CBI as it Begins Formal Interaction in Ruchika Case

In Ruchika molestation case, the CBI has commenced formal interaction with SC Girhotra, Ruchika’s father, and all others connected directly or indirectly with the case, reported NDTV.

Report said that the CBI team of the Special Crime Branch (SCB) initiated interaction with Anand Prakash, father of Aradhana, the only eye witness in the case, at its camp office in Sector 18 in Chandigarh. Prakash is also husband of Madhu Prakash, the complainant in the case in which Rathore was recently awarded six months imprisonment.

Report quoted Prakash as saying that the CBI had called him, for they wanted to acquaint themselves with the case.

“But I will be taking along with me records relating to the case for submission to the team which is also expected to record my statement,” he was quoted as saying.

However, Aradhna, the sole eye witness, said that the CBI had not called her yet, said report.

Ruchika’s father also met with the CBI team to provide details of the case to the officials, report said.

The CBI had on January 12 taken over the three fresh FIRs against disgraced former DGP of Haryana lodged by Girhotra and his son Ashu leveling various allegations, including attempt to murder, abetment to suicide and doctoring the post mortem report and other documents.
