Four Detained for Interrogation in Social Activist Murder Case

In connection with murder of social activist Satish Shetty, four persons have been detained by police for interrogation, reported PTI.

Shetty was fatally attacked on Wednesday by two unidentified assailants when he was out for a morning walk at Talegaon where he lived. He succumbed to injuries before he could be admitted to hospital.

Residents of Talegaon observed a Bandh in protest against the killing of the 38-year-old-activist who was closely associated with anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare.

No formal arrest has so far been made in the case, report said quoting police sources.

Shetty had exposed many land scams using Right to Information (RTI) in Pune district.
