FBI Shares with Indian Agencies Information on Headley, Rana

On visit to India to share information on David Coleman Headley and Tahawwur Hussain Rana, the FBI has held discussions with India authorities about activities of the two suspected Laskhkar operatives.

According to reports, the FBI, during the meeting, gave some information about Rana and Headley and assured Indian investigating agencies of sharing more information as the interrogation of the two goes ahead.

Reports said that Indian agencies have asked for all the details regarding Headley’s links to filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s son, gym instructor Vilas Varak, some diplomats and business personalities who were allegedly misused by the terror suspect.

The FBI arrested the two suspects in Chicago last month for allegedly plotting terror attacks in Denmark and India. However, Rana’s advocate had denied the allegations made against his client.

With first batch of the FBI officers having already arrived on Sunday, some more officials are expected to come for holding talks with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and central security agencies.

The NIA, probing the case, has already recorded statements of various people including Varak during which he told the investigators about the activities of Headley.
