Congress using central agencies aginst BJP-ruled states: CM

BHOPAL: Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has asked the Congress government to not indulge in arm-twisting of the BJP-ruled states by using central agencies like the income taxdepartment. Addressing a mammoth rally here at the Jamboree Maidan on Wednesday, Chouhan said, “if the Income tax wants to conduct raids, it should carry out raids at the residence of Robert Vadra, who has become a billionaire overnight.”

He said the Congress-led UPA government is mired into cases of corruption. “They are involved in A to Z of corruption,” said Shivraj, reminding a large number of alleged cases of scams that took place during successive Congress-led governments.

Talking about the performance of his government, Chouhan said at the time when the Congress was voted out of power, the state was plunged into darkness. Now, villages get 24-hour power supply as there is 14,000 MW of power generation in the past 10 years of the BJP rule. During the Congress government, the power generation was merely 3,000 MW.

Chouhan said the work on Kshipra- Narmada link is over and if the model code of conduct doesn’t come to force by October 6 next month, the project would be dedicated to people.

He exhorted the party workers to work in direction of bringing the BJP for the third successive time in the state.
