CM to undertake departmental reviews next week

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will undertake departmental reviews from next week. He has directed that first the departmental ministers will undertake minute review of Vision Document, action taken for quarterly action plan and actual implementation of all the schemes and come to meeting with clear replies and full information.

Shri Chouhan was addressing a joint meeting of ministers and Secretaries here today. He said that ministers should examine departmental schemes prepared in accordance with Central budget. For getting them sanctioned, senior officers and ministers should visit New Delhi. If needed, he will himself visit Delhi.

Shri Chouhan said that all departments should also give suggestions for simplification of procedures for extending maximum benefit to common people. He directed Agriculture, Irrigation, Energy, Animal Husbandry and all concerning departments to play effective role in Krishi Mahotsav. He said that in-charge and local ministers should review urban infrastructure development works. He will himself take stock of ground realities in big cities.

The Chief Minister said that ministers and the Chief Secretary should undertaken review of results of CM Helpline for 10 minutes daily. As many as 40-50 thousand calls are being received daily on the helpline’s number 181. The number of lines under the helpline has been doubled. The Chief Minister said that it is a scheme connected with people’s trust and not a mere formality. Status of disposal should be known from the beneficiaries whose complaints are closed after disposal. Strict action should be taken in case irregularity is found.

About Global Investors Summit, Shri Chouhan said that it is a mission of the state government, which is necessary for increasing growth. The departments wanting to amend policies in the hope of good investment should chalk out proposals by September 15. Referring specially to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in this context, he said that his stance for encouraging development and investment is known to all. Wave of development is sweeping across the country these days. Shri Chouhan also directed to bring information about actual status of decisions taken in previous Panchayats and suggest practical changes if required.
