CBI to investigate IPS officer’s murder

BHOPAL: Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has announced to hand over the probe to CBI into the killing of IPS officer Narendra Singh.

Narendra Singh was brutally murdered by “mining mafia” on March 8, in Morena district.

The opposition party Congress stalled the proceedings in the Legislative house today while demanding the CBI probe into the killing of IPS officer.

Chouhan told newsmen that “We respect the wishes of the family of the IPS officer. His wife and IPS officer Madhurani Teotia wanted a CBI probe.

We have decided to write to the centre to handover the probe into the circumstances led to his death to the CBI”.

Earlier in an unprecedented move congress has stalled the debate, which is to be on its own notice for adjournment motion on the killing of IPS officer Narendra Kumar by the “mining mafia” in Morena district.

“It’s perhaps for the first time in Parliamentary and legislative history that the opposition is not allowing debate on an adjournment motion, moved by them. It’s unprecedented”, said Speaker Ishwardas Rohani.

As soon as House assembled opposition members were on their feet raising the issue and pointing out that they have submitted notices for an adjournment motion. Chief Minister promptly agreed for the same.

Then opposition party changes its stance and demanded for CBI probe into the incident.
