CBI denies attempt of arresting Nupur
NEW DELHI: CBI said that no attempt was made to arrest Nupur Talwar after she approached for Supreme Court. It was known that a non-bailable warrant was issued against her by a special court in Ghaziabad.
CBI also rubbished the claims of Nupur that the agency was hounding her. The agency said that no attempt was made to arrest her after 11 am on Thursday after she moved the Supreme Court seeking relief against the NBW issued by the Ghaziabad court.
The officials said they were following earlier Supreme Court order asking her not to leave the borders of National Capital Region by tracking their movement.
Nupur and her husband Rajesh Talwar are facing trial in the nearly four-year-old twin murder case in which their daughter Aarushi was found dead with her throat slit at their Noida residence on the night intervening May 15 and 16, 2008, while the body of Hemraj was recovered from the terrace of the house the next day.
