Campaigning Ends for Phase III Polls
With hours to go for the crucial Phase III polls, campaigning for the April 30 vote-off in 107 Lok Sabha segments, across nine states and two union territories, came to an end on Tuesday.

With an impressive line up of 1,567 candidates, the third phase rings in the poll toll in all 26 LS constituencies in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh-16, Uttar Pradesh-15, West Bengal-14, Bihar-11, Karnataka-11, Maharashtra-10, Jammu and Kashmir-01, Sikkim-01, Dadra and Nagar Haveli-01 and Daman and Diu-01.
Former prime minister and JD(S) boss HD Deve Gowda, JD-U chief Sharad Yadav, former Karnataka chief minister S Bangarappa and union ministers Sriprakash Jaiswal and Jyotiraditya Scindia are the more priminent faces contesting this phase which will mark culmination of proceedings in 372 of the total 543 segments in the country.
