An Indian Air Force helicopter made a precautionary landing near Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, according to Air Force sources.

As per initial reports, the ALH Dhruv developed a technical glitch, leading to the emergency landing. The crew is safe and an expert team is on the way to look into the technical issues.

“One ALH MK III helicopter of the IAF, on a routine training mission from Bhopal to Chakeri, carried out a safe precautionary landing 50 kms from Bhopal Airport, near the Dungariya dam. No harm or injuries were reported. Technical assistance is being provided to the helicopter,” said Indian Airforce in a statement.

There were six army personnel on board the helicopter. The emergency landing was made in a village in Berasia, 60 km from Bhopal
