India cannot be cowed down: Sonia Gandhi

New Delhi: “India cannot be cowed down”, Congress president Sonia Gandhi said on Tuesday over the killing of five soldiers by Pakistanis in Jammu and Kashmir.

Five Indian soldiers were killed early on Tuesday when Pakistani troops intruded into Jammu and Kashmir and ambushed an army patrol. Sonia Gandhi also extended condolences to the family of the martyred soldiers.

“The entire Congress party as indeed the entire country stands by them,” Gandhi said. She also asked the government to take appropriate action.
