English medium schools will lead to bright future: CM

The Swami Atmanand English Medium School has been launched to lay the foundation for a bright future for the upcoming generation, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Thursday.

Baghel was interacting with school principals attending training through virtual mode from his official residence office.

He said the intention is to lay a base for children from backward regions and economically weaker sections to face the future challenges, for overall personality development, to instill self-confidence and to be sensitive to the environment.

The Chief Minister said Swami Atmanand through his talent and education worked for educating the downtrodden people. He brought laurels to the state at the national level in this field.

He said that all efforts had been made during Covid-19 to renovate school buildings by ensuring facilities like library, amphi-theatre, computer rooms, sportsground and more.

Transparency was maintained in the selection of teachers and principals, who must now shape the students for the future, he said.

Based on the present responses, even students from the best private schools are vying to get admission in the government-run English medium schools. By next year, more such schools will be opened, he added.
