Accused of rape and murder of a 35-year old arrested from Piluwa

ETAH: In a case of rape and murder 35-year-old woman here, two persons were arrested, said a senior officer.

From Piluwa area, two brothers – Sumant Yadav and Sunil Yadav – were arrested, senior superintendent of Police Laxmi Narain said.

On Sunday night a woman Anarkali was allegedly raped and burnt alive.

Police said five persons had barged into her house in Nidhauli area in Etah district and one of them allegedly raped her and later set her on fire.

An FIR was lodged and SHO, Nidhauli, Narendra Pal
Singh was removed from the post. Singh had initially ruled out rape and murder and said the woman had committed suicide.

As per her dying declaration, Sunil had raped her.
