New Delhi: At least one soldier killed on Tuesday as the India army foiled an infiltration bid along the line of control (LoC) in Naugam sector of Jammu & Kashmir. The operation is underway Operations underway.
As many as 10 terrorists who were trying to cross over to the Indian side of Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan in Lachipora area of Uri sector, were killed during encounter, news agency ANI reported.
On Sunday, 18 soldiers were martyred in the strike at Army base in Uri which drew strong condemnation from various quarters. India has accused Pakistan of having a role in the Sunday terror strike, one of the deadliest attacks. Meanwhile, Pakistani troops on Tuesday afternoon again opened fire at Indian posts in Uri sector and targeted the Indian Army positions with small firearms.
