ISIS threatens to attack FIFA World Cup; behead Ronaldo, Messi: Report

Madrid: ISIS fanatics have issued a threat to behead football icons Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and attack the FIFA World Cup finals in Russia.
The terrorist group has also released photo-shopped images of Messi and Ronaldo, showing the football stars being held captive by the masked terrorists holding knives to behead them.
The posters are released with a chilling message “The ground will be filled with your blood” and the “Victory will be ours”. A Daily Mail report has published the posters and the messages released by the terror group, threatening to target the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Another post shows a militant carrying an explosive device-like object into a stadium with the message reading “victory will be ours”.
The threat is released after another chilling poster has shown an armed terrorist with a gun and explosives near a football stadium in Russia along with the words: “I swear that the Mujahideen’s fire will burn you… just you wait”.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be played across 11 cities in Russia from June 14. Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow will host the final on July 15.
ISIS had earlier struck St Petersburg city, killing 144 people in brief bomb attack, in protest against Russia’s airstrikes at the ISIS ruled territories in Syria. A number of Russians have been linked to the terrorist outfit. They pose a major threat to the thousands of football fans, who will be in the country for the FIFA World Cup finals.
