India elect to bat against England

BANGLORE: After winning the toss Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni elected to bat against England in their Group B match of the cricket World Cup on Sunday.

India as well as England had won their respective opening matches. While India defeated Bangladesh, England beat the Netherlands.

Today replacing S Sreesanth with Piyush Chawla, India has gone with two spinners against England.
Whereas England Pacer Stuart Broad is out due to illness and Ajmal Shahzad has been pencilled into the playing XI in his place.

In the batting line—up, Michael Yardy has come in for Ravi Bopara.

Team of India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (c&wk), Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Piyush Chawla, Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel.

Team of England: Andrew Strauss (c), Kevin Pietersen, Jonathan Trott, Ian Bell, Paul Collingwood, Matt Prior, Michael Yardy, Tim Bresnan, Graeme Swann, Ajmal Shahzad, James Anderson.
