Delhi Capitals Defeat Mumbai Indians By 37 Runs

Mumbai Indians were bowled out for 176 runs in 19.2 overs

Riding on Rishabh Pant’s unbeaten 78 off just 27 balls at an astronomical strike rate of 288.89, Delhi Capitals posted 213/6 on board. Coming in to bat
after the dismissal of Colin Ingram in the 13th over, the 21-year-old ripped apart every bowler who came his way as his innings included 7 fours and 7
sixes. Pant’s fifty came off just 18 balls as he hit the second fastest fifty by a Delhi Capitals batsman. Chris Morris hit the fastest fifty by a Delhi
batsman in 2016 against Gujarat Lions. Earlier, Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl as Shikhar Dhawan and Colin Ingram stitched together 83 runs
for the third wicket following the dismissals of Prithvi Shaw (7) and captain Shreyas Iyer (16). Mumbai Indians will be chasing 214 runs for a victory at
the Wankhede, where 213 has never been chased before
