CM to inaugurate Sanskrit literary fest at Ujjain today

Bhopal: Sanskrit Sahityotsav will be held at Mahakavi Kalidas’ city Ujjain from February 22 to 24. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate the event where Culture Minister Shri Laxmikant Sharma will also be present. Over 3 thousand Sanskrit scholars will participate in the literary meet.

Sanskrit Book Fair, science exhibition, Sanskrit Village, Sanskrit Bazaar, Sanskrit Sports games, workshops and various cultural programmes will be held during the three-day Sanskrit Sahityotsav.
Over three thousand Sanskrit scholars from all over India will participate in Mahotsav, which is being held for the first time in the state with the cooperation of Madhya Pradesh Government, National Sanskrit Sansthan, all Sanskrit universities in the country, Sanskrit academies, institutions and Sanskriti propagation institutions.
Over 75 publishers of India will participate in the event. Apart from dictionaries, books of grammar, tales, books for learning Sanskrit easily, Ramayana, Mahabharat, Vedas, Upnishads, puranas, philosophy, their CDs and DVDs will also be available at the grand festival. Concession of 15 percent will be given on all the books. Over 200 new books, CDs and DVDs will be released at the event.
A science exhibition will be held on scientific matter published in Sanskrit on the occasion.
