Shahzad Pleads Guilty to Time Square Bomb Plot
Pakistan-born American national and Time Square bomb plot suspect Faisal Shahzad has pleaded guilty to the plotting, saying that Islamist extremists will continue to attack the US, said media reports.
Shahzad confessed having travelled to Pakistan for bomb making training from Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and for receiving $12,000 from the group to execute the failed plot on May 1, reports said.
He pleaded guilty to 10 charges, including attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted terrorism transcending national borders, said reports.
He told the judge that he wanted to ‘plead guilty and 100 times more’, reports said.
Shahzad also warned that unless the US leaves Muslim lands, ‘We will be attacking US’, said reports.
