Roadside Bomb Kills Seven Pak Soldiers
Pakistani officials on Saturday said a roadside bomb killed seven Pakistani soldiers in the country’s northwest border region, as the army pushed forward with its offensive against Taliban militants.
Officials say the bomb attack occurred in the Khyber tribal area.
The bombing came as Pakistani warplanes struck Taliban bases in the tribal regions. The army said 33 militants were killed in the last 24 hours of operations in the offensive it launched against the Taliban two weeks ago.
