One killed, several injured in Tel Aviv attack

A terrorist attack took place late Friday night in Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel. A car hit several people. An Italian citizen died in the accident. 7 people were injured. According to the Times of Israel report, the driver of the car also fired. This was the second incident to happen in Israel in 12 hours. Earlier on Friday afternoon there was firing in the West Bank. Two British women were killed in this.

The car plowed into people on Kaufman Street late Friday night. Some of its videos are going viral on social media. It can be seen in a video that the speeding car passed by trampling many people walking on the roadside. After going some distance, the car overturned. Meanwhile, the sound of firing was also heard.

According to Israeli media, the attacker was shot dead by the police. In a video going viral on social media, it can be seen that a man comes out of the overturned car, on which the police fire.

A police officer said- 45-year-old Yusuf Abu Jaber hit the pedestrians. After this he also fired bullets. When we reached there after the car overturned, we saw that the assailant was about to shoot at us. Acting immediately, we opened fire on him.

An eyewitness said- I was crossing the road when I saw a white colored car going at a very high speed. The car passed me and suddenly overtook people walking on the side of the road. I thought it was a hit and run case. I ran and hid in a parking lot to save my life. Another eyewitness said- I was standing in the balcony of the house. Then a very loud sound was heard. 3-4 gunshots were also heard. I saw people falling.

The man killed in Friday night’s incident was identified as Alessandro Parini, a 35-year-old resident of Rome. 7 Italian and British citizens were injured in the accident. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni mourned Parini’s death. He has described the incident in Tel Aviv as a cowardly attack.
