Sitapur industrial area to be developed in Morena district

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Sitapur industrial area will be developed on 385 hectare at villages Jakhauda, Sapcholi and Pahadi situated near Banmor industrial area in Morena district. A provision of Rs. 95 crore has been made for this, of which Rs. 20 crore have been allocated to Audyogik Vikas Nigam as the first installment. Shri Chouhan had landed at village Jakhauda during aerial survey of ravines in Chambal division today.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the State Government has taken the resolve for ensuring all-round development of Madhya Pradesh. He said that the state’s growth rate has been 12 percent and agriculture growth rate 18 percent, which have to be increased further at a rapid pace. He said that farmers’ lands will not be acquired for industries and only government lands will be reserved for the purpose. The 385 hectare land being given here is government land. Shri Chouhan said that the government. For this, unemployed youths are being imparted training in various trades of ITIs and Skill Development has also made arrangements to ensure that 50 percent jobs in the new industrial area are provided to local people Centres.

Shri Chouhan said that industrialists at the proposed Global Investors Summit at Indore will be motivated to set up industries in this area. He said that the government is making efforts to develop government land near Agra-Mumbai Highway in Morena, Gwalior, Shivpuri and Guna districts as industrial corridor and provide jobs to unemployed youths. He said that about 144 new industries has established their units and started production in the state. He said that it is the endevour of the State Government to ensure that maximum number of industries are set up here with big investments.

Availability of land for industrial development : It was informed that 385.94 hectare land of the area has been transferred to Madhya Pradesh Audyogik Vikas Nigam for developing industrial infrastructure over there. These government lands are situated at Jakhauda, Pahadi Gaon and Sapcholi. Besides, 175 hectare land of village Mainabai and Tiktoli in Jaura tahsil is also included in it. This land is also being transferred to Audyogik Vikas Nigam for industrial development. Land measuring 6755 hectares along Chambal River in ravines has been earmarked for industrial development.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Member of Parliament Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Madhya Pradesh Minorities and Backward Classes Finance Development Corporation Chairman Shri Rustam Singh, Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram, Zila Panchayat Chairman Shri Satypal Singh Sikarwar, Dimni MLA Shri Shivmangal Singh Tomar, commissioners of Chambal and Gwalior divisions, collector, SP, Shri Kedar Singh Yadav and officers of Madhya Pradesh Audyogik Vikas Nigam and IIDC.
