Egypt Opens Rafah Border into Gaza
Egyptian authorities on Sunday opened the Rafah crossing borders with the Gaza Strip for a period of three days the move will allow Palestinians and citizens from various countries stranded on both sides to cross, say media reports.
Egypt shut down Rafah crossing in June 2007 after the armed Hamas seized control of Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israel is also reported to have opened one of the border crossing points in southern Gaza Strip to export flowers and strawberries to Europe and allow humanitarian aids and fuels into the impoverished enclave.
