China welcomed india-Pak foreign minister’s meeting
Beijing: China have welcomed the Indo-Pak Foreign Ministers’ meeting, saying the relationship between the two “important” countries in South Asia was crucial for regional peace, stability and development.
“India and Pakistan are both important countries in South Asia, and their relationship is crucial to improving regional peace, stability and development,” Lei told reporters, answering a question on the Indian External Affairs Minister S M Krishna’s just concluded visit to Islamabad.
Krishna’s three-day visit saw signing of a key pact on a liberalised visa regime between India and Pakistan.
During the visit Krishna met President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and held talks with his Pakistani counterpart Hina Rabbani Khar.
