Bomb blast killed 7, injured 25 in Iraq

Baghdad: Iraqi officials say a bomb left inside a restaurant north of Baghdad has killed at least seven civilians and wounded 25 others.

A medical official confirmed the casualty figure. All officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to release information.

Taji is a former insurgent stronghold, located about 20 kilometers north of the Iraqi capital. The attack followed a day when at least 51 people were killed in a wave of car bombs, shootings and suicide attack across Iraq.
