Kamal Nath takes oath as MLA

BHOPAL: Chief Minister Kamal Nath administered oath of membership of the State Assembly by Speaker of Narmada Prasad Prajapati, here on Monday. Nath won the by-election from Chhindwara constituency recently.

In a brief ceremony held in the assembly Legislative Council Hall, the CM took oath as assembly member. Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Hina Kanwre, leader of opposition Gopal Bhargava and parliamentary affairs minister Dr Govind Singh were present in the swearing-in. Former chief minister Digvijay Singh, cabinet members, MLAs, office-bearers of the Congress committee and senior officers were also present.

While talking to media, he said: “My first priority is to make farmers happy because 70 percent of people are earning their daily bread from agriculture. Our first target is to provide adequate price of their produces and work for youths”.

Stating on other issues he alleged that “The last 15 years governance of mismanagement is causing water crisis in the state. The BJP government had not formed any programme or planning to face the crisis”.

He said that the Prime Minister is having positive concern over the state’s development.
