Lucknow beat Hyderabad by five wickets

Lucknow Supergiants registered their second win at their home ground in the 16th season of the Indian Premier League. The team captained by KL Rahul defeated Hyderabad by 5 wickets. This is also Lucknow’s second overall win in the league over Hyderabad. There have been two matches between the two teams so far and both have been won by Lucknow.

After this victory, the Lucknow team has come on the first number of the points table. The team has 4 points after three matches. see points table

Batting first after winning the toss, Hyderabad scored 121 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Lucknow achieved the target of 122 runs for 5 wickets in 16 overs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and batted first. Abdul Samad remained unbeaten on 21 runs in 10 balls, while Rahul Tripathi scored 35, Anmolpreet Singh 31 and Washington Sundar scored 16 runs. 5 batters of the team could not even touch the figure of ten.

 

Krunal Pandya took 3 and Amit Mishra took 2 wickets. Yash Thakur and Ravi Bishnoi got 1-1 wickets.

 

In reply, skipper KL Rahul (35 runs) and Kyle Mayers got Lucknow off to a brisk start. Both had an opening partnership of 35 runs on 27 balls. Here Meyers was dismissed after scoring 13 runs, then Rahul extended the innings with Deepak and Krunal. He shared a half-century partnership with Pandya.

In the end, Nicholas Pooran (11 *) and Marcus Stoinis (10 *) gave the team a 5-wicket win. Adil Rashid took 2 wickets from Hyderabad. While Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik and Fazalhaq Farooqui got one wicket each.
