Awareness observers monitoring efforts to increase poll percentage constantly

Bhopal: Election Commission of India has appointed 17 awareness observers to monitor efforts for increasing poll percentage during Vidhan Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh, educating voters and making them aware. Every awareness observer has 3 districts each under his jurisdiction. The awareness observers are undertaking tours constantly. They are visiting the polling booths where poll percentage was quite low during previous elections. The awareness observers sought information about monitoring of paid news by MCMCs. Elections in the state will be held in 227 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in the state from 8 am to 5 pm and from 7 am to 3 pm in 3 constituencies of Balaghat district including 108-Baihar, 109-Lanji and 110-Paraswara.
