CM to Attend NRI Conclave in New Delhi on Jan. 9

Bhopal  —  Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Chouhan will attend the Non-Resident Indians’ Conference in the national capital Delhi on January 9. The three-day conference opens on January 7 and is scheduled to be addressed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on January 8.

The government of India organises the NRI conclave to maintain a live contact with around 2.5 crore strong Indian Diaspora living in 110 countries around the globe.

On the concluding day, Chouhan and chief ministers of other states will address the conference. During the second session the same day, the chief ministers will also interact with NRIs from their respective states.

Following the conclusion of the national event, an NRI Conference will commence in the state capital on  January 12 for NRIs from Madhya Pradesh as well as other NRIs interested in the state as an industrial or investment destination.

The Chief Minister reviewed arrangements for the conference at the Mantralaya today, those present on the occasion included Finance Minister Raghavji, Additional Chief Secretary Forests Prashant Mehta, Principal Secretary Commerce & Industry Satya Prakash, Principal Secretary Home Rajan Katoch, TRIFAC managing director Praveen Garg, Commissioner Industries Deepak Khandekar, Commissioner Public Relations Manoj Shrivastava, Secretaries to CM, Anurag Jain and SK Mishra and other officials.
