Cities and towns being purged of posters and banners

Bhopal: Atmosphere for ensuing Vidhan Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh is becoming cleaner and fairer. Legal action is being taken on violation of Prevention of Deforming of Public Property Act. Cities and towns are being purged of posters, banners, wall paintings etc.

So far, 2 lakh 13 thousand 709 wall paintings, posters, banners etc have been removed from public and private properties. As many as one lakh 83 thousand 53 posters, banners and wall paintings have been removed from public property and 30 thousand 4656 publicity material from private properties.

So far, 39 thousand 799 wall writings, 61 thousand 967 posters, 35 thousand 91 banners and 46 thousand 196 other materials have been removed from public properties. During the action, 252 cases have also been registered. Similarly, 13 thousand 516 wall writings, 6 thousand 446 posters, 4 thousand 298 banners and 6 thousand 396 other materials have been removed from public properties. As many as 156 cases have also been registered in this regard.

As many as 546 cases of misuse of vehicles have come to the fore in districts and FIRs have been registered in 167 cases. Similarly, FIRs have been registered in 13 out of 52 cases for use of loudspeakers without official permission. Cases have been registered in 9 out 20 complaints regarding holding of meeting speeches without official permission.
