Wheat Procurement inspected by Additional Chief Secratary

KHANDWA: The wheat procurement centers were inspected by Additional Chief Secretary Antony D’sa on Sunday.

He expressed his satisfaction over storage and payment. He also get information from Food Department officers posted at all the seven development block headquarters of the district about wheat procurement progress through video conferencing.

He instructed officers to purchase wheat from genuine farmers only. The district collector and other concerning officers were present on the occasion.

He informed that so far, wheat worth Rs. 136 crore has been purchased from 16 thousand 779 farmers in the district. Out of these, payment worth Rs. 117 crore 53 lakh has already been made to 14 thousand 223 farmers.
