BJP demanding resignation of Sheila Dixit

Delhi: Vijender Gupta, Delhi BJP president today said thousands of party members will do a protest march from Red Fort to the Assembly and do gherao around it, demanding CM’s resignation on the basis of issues including “corruption in Commonwealth Games, price spiral, unemployment, unauthorized colonies’ fraud and water crisis”. Delhi BJP demanding resignation of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, will ‘gherao’ the Delhi Legislative Assembly on 25th of November during the Winter Session.

M Venkaiah Naidu, senior BJP leader will also form a part of the demonstration, along with Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Legislative Assembly Vijay Kumar Malhotra and other party leaders.

Gupta said, ”A bungling of Rs 1,100 crore committed by CM has come to light and the BJP has demanded impartial enquiry into it. She did not spare the Scheduled Caste Welfare Fund and wasted Rs 700 crore in the name of Commonwealth Games. Also, she restricted the powers of Finance Minister and awarded work of streetscaping of about Rs 160 crore to her favourite contractor.”

”The Chief Minister and her colleagues committed bungling in the 77 projects connected with the Commonwealth Games executed by Delhi Government,” he added. He blamed the government for drinking water supply problem in the city, bad conditions in the unauthorised colonies, non payment of compensation to farmers, education problems, health, public transport, Metro Rail, security, price spiral, food grain scam, unemployment and rising crime in the city.
