Life imprisonment to a BSP MLA

FAIZABAD: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Anand Sen Yadav, and two others have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of a 24-year-old law student from Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh.

The victim’s father, Yogendra Prasad, who is also a BSP worker, had accused the MLA of kidnapping his daughter and killing her.

In Oct 2007 the girl Shashi Prasad was killed by Milkipur MLA Yadav and with two other accomplices.

After the murder her body was dumped in the Gomti river in Sultanpur district.

The MLA’s driver and a friend of the victim, Seema Azad, have also been held guilty of murder and given a life term.
